Why we started TribeROI
For fifteen years I ran communities and sat through the same meeting. Someone asks what the program is worth. I have attendance, engagement, a handful of good stories, and no number. The budget gets trimmed. The next year it gets trimmed again, and eventually the program is somebody’s side project.
The executives in that meeting were not being unreasonable. They could not see what the community was doing, and I could not show them. Every other channel walked in with a number. I walked in with a story about how great the last event went.
I wrote a book about how to build communities. TribeROI is the other half of the problem, which is showing what they are worth once you have built one.
