Cookie Notice

Version: 1.0
Effective: 7 October 2026
Last updated: 4 October 2026

This notice covers triberoi.com, our marketing website. The TribeROI application is a separate product with its own login and its own data handling, and apart from the analytics it shares with this site, described below, it is not described here.

The short version

We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it is off until you agree. Everywhere else it runs by default, and you can turn it off from the footer of any page. We set no advertising cookies and run no tag manager, heatmap, session replay or advertising pixel. Google is the only third party your browser contacts here.

What gets set, and when

Cookie Purpose When it is set Lifetime
cc_cookie Records the choice you made here, so we stop asking and can honour it on the next page. When you answer the banner 6 months
tr_region Records whether you are in a region where we have to ask before setting analytics cookies. It holds one of two values and identifies nobody. On page load 24 hours
_ga Google Analytics. Counts your repeat visits as one visitor. Only after you agree, in covered regions 13 months
_ga_T086H9P136 Google Analytics. Holds the state of your current session. Only after you agree, in covered regions 13 months

The first two are strictly necessary and cannot be switched off: without them we could not remember your answer or know whether to ask. The two Google Analytics cookies are not necessary, and the site works exactly the same without them.

Where we ask first

The European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. In those places nothing analytics-related is stored until you accept, and the decision is enforced by Google against your connection rather than by our guess about where you are.

Everywhere else, analytics runs on page load as it always has. You can still turn it off, and the control is in the same place for everyone.

Changing your mind

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. It reopens the same panel, and a change takes effect immediately: if you switch analytics off, the Google Analytics cookies are cleared.

You can also block or delete cookies for this site in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, which works across every site you visit.

Shared with the TribeROI application

The application at app.triberoi.com uses the same Google Analytics property as this site. Both Google Analytics cookies are set for triberoi.com and every subdomain of it, rather than for this site alone, so the application's sign-in page can recognise a browser that has visited here.

Your choice in the Cookie settings panel applies to this website only. The application does not read it, and outside the covered regions its sign-in page sets the Google Analytics cookies again. The application's privacy notice explains how to stop that.

What happens if you decline

Nothing on the site changes for you. Google still receives a signal that a page was viewed, sent without cookies and without an identifier, and it uses those signals to estimate the traffic it cannot see. We get a rougher picture and you get no cookies. That trade is the point of the choice.

We do not act on Do Not Track

Or on Global Privacy Control. No standard for honouring them is settled, and we would rather say so than imply a protection you are not getting.

Other things this site loads from elsewhere

One: Google, which serves the analytics script and receives the measurement. Both Google addresses are contacted on every page load. What your choice controls is whether anything is stored and whether your visit is identified, not whether the request happens.

In the covered regions, before you answer, Google receives a cookieless signal that a page was viewed and nothing that identifies you. If you decline, that is all it ever receives.

Everything else comes from our own domain. Images, typefaces, the consent banner and all page code are served by us, so loading a page contacts no image host, no font host and no content network.

Our blog content is managed in Sanity, stored inside the EEA. We fetch it while building the site rather than while you read it, so your browser never contacts them.

Storage other than cookies

The consent banner keeps your choice in the cookie named above and nothing else. Beyond that, this site writes nothing to local storage, session storage or IndexedDB.

Forms

There is one form on this site, the design partner application. Netlify, our host, receives it, and a hidden field catches most automated submissions. There is no CAPTCHA, and submitting it sets no cookie. Our research reports download directly and ask for nothing. What we do with what you send is covered in our Privacy Policy.
